Why copper

4 reasons women have worn copper for 3,000 years

A ritual older than medicine

01

A ritual older than medicine

Long before pharmacies, women wore copper against the skin as a small daily act of care. A tradition carried from Egypt to India, and now to your wrist.

Whitney & Wrenley Jewels

Pieces to keep. Pieces to pass on.

Our name stands for two women: the one who gives, and the one who keeps. A mother and her daughter. Two sisters. The friend who has seen you through everything.

Every copper piece is made for that moment. Pure copper, shaped by hand in small batches, finished with care and packed in our signature gift box with a handwritten note.

For the Gifting Season every piece is up to 50% off, and the more you choose, the more you save. Once a piece sells out at this price, it does not come back.

The Gifting Season Gifting Season

The Gifting Season

The piece she never takes off

Every family has one. A woman who wore the same piece every single day. In the garden, at the kitchen sink, holding your hand in a waiting room. You remember the warm weight of it better than you remember its shape.

This season, give her something she will reach for every morning. Copper is the oldest of those rituals: worn against the skin for more than 3,000 years, passed from mothers to daughters, and still one of the few metals that slowly changes with the woman who wears it.

It arrives in our signature gift box, with a handwritten note in your words. Because the best gifts are not the most expensive ones. They are the ones that get worn.

Give her a ritual, not just a present.

Honest about copper

What copper does, and what it doesn't

You will read big promises about copper online. We would rather tell you the truth, and let the piece earn its place on her wrist.

What it does

  • Carries a 3,000-year tradition. From Egyptian queens to Ayurvedic healers, women have worn copper as a daily ritual of comfort and care.

  • Gives you a moment of calm. The warm, steady weight on your wrist is a small reminder to slow down and look after yourself.

  • Comes from an essential mineral. Your body needs copper every day, and gets it from foods like nuts, seeds, beans and leafy greens.

  • Becomes truly hers. Pure copper develops a patina unique to the skin that wears it. No two pieces ever look alike.

What it doesn't

  • It is not a medicine. It does not cure arthritis, heal joints or replace anything your doctor prescribes.

  • Science has not proven it relieves pain. Clinical studies on copper bracelets and joint pain have not shown a clear effect. Anyone promising you otherwise is selling a story.

  • It does not stay shiny forever. Real copper darkens over time and can leave a harmless green mark on the skin. A soft cloth brings the shine back.

What copper does best is hard to measure. It becomes the thing she touches when she thinks of you.

Our copper jewelry is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.

Copper, honestly

I have tried copper before and it did not do anything. Why is this different?

We will be honest with you: no copper bracelet is a treatment, and we would never promise you one. What we can promise is the piece itself.

Most copper jewelry online is copper-plated, a thin coat over cheaper metal that wears through within months. Ours is pure copper all the way through, shaped by hand and made to be worn every day for years.

Does copper actually do anything for your health?

Copper is an essential mineral, and your body gets what it needs from food. Wearing copper is a tradition of more than 3,000 years, but clinical studies have not shown that copper bracelets relieve joint pain or arthritis.

So we offer it for what it is: a beautiful, honest daily ritual, not a cure. If you live with pain or a medical condition, please talk to your doctor.

Will it turn my skin green?

It can, and that is a sign of real copper. When copper meets moisture it can leave a light green mark. It is harmless and washes off with soap. A thin coat of clear nail polish on the inside of the piece prevents it.

Can I wear it in the shower or in water?

Yes. Copper is made to be lived in. Salt water and chlorine speed up the patina, so your piece will darken faster. That is not damage, just real metal responding to its surroundings. Rinse with fresh water and pat dry if you prefer to keep the shine.

How do I care for copper jewelry?

Wear it as often as you like. To bring back the shine, polish with a soft cloth or a little lemon juice and salt, then rinse and dry. Keep it in its gift box when you are not wearing it.

Is it ready to give as a gift?

Yes. Every order arrives in our signature gift box. If it is a gift, leave a message at checkout and we will add a handwritten note.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed within 1-5 business days. After dispatch, delivery typically takes 7-12 business days, depending on where you live.

What if it is not right?

Not 100% in love with your piece? Keep it, and choose one free item on us, of the same price or lower. Nothing to send back; you only cover the shipping of your new piece, which we confirm by email first. Simply email us within 30 days of delivery.

Prefer your money back? You can still return it within 30 days for a refund. Every piece also carries our lifetime warranty.
